Silway

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 3, 2026

This policy explains what data Silway collects, why we collect it, and the limits we place on how it is used — including the specific commitments we make about data received from Google APIs.

01Who we are

Silway is a business-to-business operational intelligence platform. Organizations connect the tools they already work in — such as Slack, Google Workspace, Jira, Linear, GitHub, and Notion — so that Silway can surface the state of their work and act on it with their approval.

Silway is sold to organizations, not to consumers. Accounts are created within a workspace administered by that organization, and the organization is the controller of the data its members connect.

02Signing in with Google

When you sign in with Google, Silway requests only the basic identity scopes required to authenticate you: openid, email, and profile. These give us your email address, your name, and your profile picture so that we can create and recognize your account.

Signing in with Google does not grant Silway access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or any other Google service. Authentication and tool access are deliberately separate.

03Connecting your tools

Access to a third-party tool is granted separately and explicitly, from the Sources page inside your workspace, and only for the tools you choose to connect. Each connection is authorized by you through that provider's own consent screen, and the scopes requested are limited to what the connected feature needs.

You can disconnect any integration at any time from the Sources page. Disconnecting revokes Silway's access to that provider going forward.

04How we use your data

  • To authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • To read the work items, messages, documents, and events you have connected, so that Silway can answer questions about your operations and prepare actions.
  • To carry out actions you approve — for example creating an issue, scheduling a meeting, or posting a message — using the connection you authorized.
  • To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

05What we do not do

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

We do not use your Google user data, or content retrieved from any connected integration, to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not transfer it to third parties for that purpose.

Silway's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

06Model processing

Silway uses third-party large language model providers to interpret requests and draft responses. Content is sent to these providers only as needed to fulfill a request you initiated, is processed under agreements that prohibit using it to train their models, and is not retained by them for that purpose.

07Storage, isolation, and retention

Data is stored per workspace and isolated by tenant, so one organization's data is never readable from another's. Credentials and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest.

Workspace administrators control retention from the Data & Security settings, and can purge the workspace's indexed knowledge at any time. Deleting a workspace removes its indexed content.

We operate the service in line with GDPR principles and align our controls to the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Because your organization administers your workspace, please raise these requests with your workspace administrator in the first instance, or contact us directly and we will work with them.

09Contact
